The members of the Scientific Advisory Committee are responsible for reviewing the health content of the Road of Life Curricula, and the Road of Life Evaluation. They are also asked to provide feedback on current and new health promotional and education materials. They serve as a reference for the Road of Life programming department, answering questions primarily via email.
Committee Member Qualifications/Background: The committee will need one Road of Life board member, preferably with professional scientific experience. Several other individuals with experience in the following areas are needed: nutrition, oncology, nursing, pediatric medicine, health and wellness policy implementation, and health initiatives (tobacco, physical activity, and nutrition).
Commitment: The committee would primarily meet remotely (via email and/or phone). Duties could be performed on site if desired. Time commitment will be approximately 3 hours monthly.
