Information: Dr. Machelle M. Seibel is a leading expert in women's health. He is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Massachusetts, and Editor in Chief of Sexuality, Reproduction and Menopause, a journal of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

Dr. Seibel has extensive experience in corporate media relations, investor relations, marketing/regulatory aspects of new products, clinical trials, and medical malpractice. He served as Medical Director for Inverness Medical Innovations from 1998-2004 and has been a consultant to many corporations.

Dr. Seibel has extensive experience with the media. He has been featured in People Magazine and Inside Edition. He is regularly interviewed for women's health issues by major print, radio and broadcast media and is a sought after speaker on health related issues. In 2000 he co-hosted a weekly health and fitness radio talk show on WMEX AM in Boston. In 2003, Woodward and White surveyed 35,000 doctors who again voted him into Best Doctors in America in his specialty.

Dr. Seibel has written or edited 10 books and authored or co-authored more than 200 scientific articles. He has won national awards including the Searle-Donald F. Richardson Award for research from the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology; Contemporary Ob-Gyn Annual Award for the best gynecologic paper of the year; and the Mead-Johnson Award from the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology for development of an interactive video system for patient information. Dr. Seibel attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch and completed his residency at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. He did a Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Harvard Medical School. Subsequently, he was appointed Director of the Gynecology Endocrine Laboratory, Director of In vitro Fertilization, Director of the Fellowship Training Program and Director of Reproductive Medicine and Infertility at Beth Israel Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He was a member of the Harvard Medical School faculty from 1979 until 1997 and Clinical Professor at Boston University School of Medicine from 1997 to 2001. Dr. Seibel has conducted many clinical trials and testified before the FDA.
