Understanding the importance of personal goal setting. It is very important to explain to children the concept of goal setting. Lesson Six from Road of Life’s Elementary Classroom Curriculum teaches children that goal setting is an efficient and easy way to change their behavior. It also teaches them that more difficult goals are easier to reach when broken down into smaller parts. Here is an example of how it works: Make this difficult goal into a simpler goal: - Eat five fruits and vegetables a day o Eat fruit with breakfast every day o Have a fruit or vegetable as a snack every day after school o Eat a salad or side of vegetables with dinner o Pack fruits and veggies in your lunch bag This health hint was taken from Lesson 6: Personal Goal Setting Visit www.roadoflife.org to download your free copy of the Classroom Curriculum today! |
