This month’s Volunteer Spotlight is on Andrew Bornand, founder of Reflex Design & Technology, who sits on ROL’s Communications Advisory Committee.
Bornand started Reflex DT to embrace creative thinking and smart design while following a structured project management process that would ensure efficiency and accuracy. Bornand met Road of Life: Cancer Prevention for Kids founder, Rob Emrich through a mutual friend who thought Bornand could contribute to the organization. Bornand’s expertise in developing and implementing marketing strategies with Reflex DT assist ROL in facilitating marketing workshops. Bornand collaborates with a group of professionals in ROL’s Communications Advisory Committee to look for innovative ways to reach more parents, teachers, and school administrators. Bornand’s work ethics and passion have helped him keep ROL’s best interests in mind while offering professional input. Bornand believes in the ROL mission because he supports a program focusing on prevention rather than treatment. “Nothing is easier than supporting a program which has been proven to help kids’ live healthier lives” he states. Bornand believes this is a concept that succeeds when applied to various aspects of our lives. Bornand is aware of the growing public awareness of childhood obesity and other health concerns. He believes that in five years, there will be national recognition of ROL because the programs are at the forefront of these issues. Bornand knows that ROL’s programs have a proven methodology and will be in a great position to make a healthy impact on thousands of kids’ lives. |
