Road of Life: Cancer Prevention for Kids is a founding health partner on the groundbreaking website Curriki. This is a wonderful tool for educators to use, allowing them to manipulate and modify curricula as they see fit. This will give thousands of educators across the world access to ROL’s FREE curriculum.

Curriki is a play on the terms ‘curriculum’ and ‘wiki’, the technological term for a piece of software that allows users to create and edit Web page content using any Web browser. It is an online resource used for the development and free distribution of world-class education materials to the general public. The website aims to provide a place online where educators from across the globe can post curricula and lesson plans for review and use by fellow teachers. Curriki consists of a community of educators, learners, and committed education experts who are working together to create quality materials that benefit teachers and students around the world.

Road of Life is honored to be a part of the Curriki community, where we are a featured partner. On the Curriki website there are nine sample lessons of the thirty-one lesson curriculum integrated with core academic subject areas, such as mathematics, English language arts, social studies, and science. It also shows that the FREE version 3.0 Classroom Curriculum is aligned with the National Health Education Standards and Ohio Academic Content Standards. ROL programs are reviewed by a Curriculum Advisory Committee of educational professionals for content and ease of use and also by a Scientific Advisory Committee of doctors, researchers, and public health professionals for accurate health content. Curriki also promotes ROLs activity-based After School Program and Summer Camp Program.
